KATO HO track

I have a "WGH" track set from Kato that I use with my MRC Prodigy Advance DCC system. It works fine with DCC. The first major thing to consider is that if you want to create districts or add a reversing loop, you will need to use insulated rail joiners and wire things appropriately. Another thing to keep in mind is that some of the Kato turnouts come configuerd for "power routing" and thus shut off the section of track that is not selected by the turnout. This can be reconfigured fairly easily. For use on a DCC system, I would recommend using the "non-power routing" configuration. The instructions explain this option clearly (at least in my opinion). The Kato power pack is not required to use DCC with Kato's Unitrack. <br />-Joe
