Firsrt of all, you'll have to purchase a DCC system with a power supply, base station and controller. Some can be purchased for under $200. Next, you'll have to, or have installed decoders in your locos. They can be bought for as little as $14.00. They come with complete installation instructions. If your models are older, the decoders can be hard wired to the track pickup, light, and motor connections. Hobby shops can be very helpful in giving visual instructions
