Yes, I think it is worth it. Go to your LHS, or eBay and get a decoder for each loco. DCC can be set up to control turnouts, building lights, or about anything electrical. Go to www.digitrax.com for more info on DCC and its capabilities. There is also a list of decoders on this web site along with a description of what they can do.
