They added hirail wheels to a brand new hemi powered Dodge Magnum (what a waste!), as well as a "cow catcher" on the front (their description).

They took the creation to a touirst steam railway somewhere in California and held a drag race with a steam engine. As can be imagined, the Magnum pulled way out in front of the steamer, but its front railway wheels slipped off the track, and it was going along at an angle, dragging the ballast with it. The car stopped just before the finish line, and the steam engine coasted on to be the winner!

Wow, a show featuring three of my interests - cars, trains and drag racing!

And no, I don't care about hockey!

Bob Boudreau
(Former drag racing photographer)
