Courious but true - no joke !!!!!!!!!!! I asked Athearn via mail about the Blue Boxes - I asked in the first line for cars - last week and got an answer one day later. This is a brandnew official Athearn answer about the Blue Boxes: Thank-you for taking the time to send in your inquiry regarding our regular "Blue Box" product line. Please note that we have no intentions to discontinue producing our regular line "Blue Box" items. We continue to produce these items on a daily basis here at our plant and will continue to do so as long there is a sufficient demand for those products. Please also note that we cannot produce all of the products that we catalog all of the time so we "batch produce" our products. Consequently all of our products are not always readily available.
