Good Afternoon!

Chloe, coffee and a slice of that cherry crumble pie, please. I don´t mind if you top the pie with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream!

I made a small but important step out of the dumpster today by starting on the wiring of the Z scale layout. I was able to finish the track wiring and completed the wiring of one phase of all other electric components on the layout, i.e. switches and uncoupling devices. The other phase has to be wired via the switchboard, which will take some time - too much at the moment.

At least my head is now out of the muck!

Solar energy is a big thing, although all federal subsidies have been cancelled (for new installations). Although payback time is beyond a regular home owner´s life expectancy, people like to "go green" - even in areas, where the sun does not shine much (like mine). Although solar panels are by far not as intrusive as windmills, they sure look awkward on old, historical buildings. Old meaning dating from the 15th and onward century ...

I´ll be staying at the RC while enjoying my coffee and my slice of the pie, so feel free to join me, should you drop in.
