BRVRR Robert: A good looking bridge. I particularly like the model of a USCG 210' Cutter (I think) below the bridge. I was stationed on the VIGOROUS 627 back in the late 70's long before the stack(s) were relocated. Photos of CG ships is not something you see often, regardless of venue. Thanks.

Hey Allan-
I posted a few photos on my layout build thread a while back. One of them shows the STEADFAST (WMEC 623) passing under the Burnside Bridge in Portland, Oregon. That was the specific inspiration for my little bridge tableau.
I also found a photo of RELIANCE (WMEC 615) off on patrol somewhere. That photo was the source for many of the design features I tried to include in the scratchbuild. You are right about the lack of USGC photos. You can imagine how scarce the commercial model kits are; there are none. Hence, scratchbuild.
Thanks for your interest and comments.
Robert

ROBERT PETRICK I added a coupla photos to my layout build thread. I keep forgetting about WPF. Dang! I suppose it's because I never had much to contribute. Robert

After being struck by the immensity of the bridge and overall awesomeness of the scene my first thought was the Columbia River gorge.
Thanks, Peter
