BATMANEd, that cherry picker looks ideal for taking down trees. I think I will see if the rental shop has one next time I have a tree that needs to come down.
I've seen some that contractors use that are made to be easily towed. I'm thinking the same thing myself since I have a TV antenna that needs some work. I put a 30 foot mast up years ago but I don't relish the idea of trying to take that down to make the repairs then try to hoist it back up again.

The big tall tree behind the house in this photo taken at the height of fire season last year, thus the orange smokey tinge is about 170' tall last time I measured it. I am hoping it will not be my next project. When its twin came down it was a big cleanup.
The fence post sticking out of the root ball is over 7' tall.
We had seven trees come down altogether in that storm, The chainsaws sang in perfect harmony all around the neighbourhood for days. It was a big job with lots of firewood to give away.
Liked the Cadillac. My Grandfather had one of those with fins on back going to the tail lights. I think it was a 69.
That's when all the cars gelled. It could have been a 66. His was also black and I do like the black one displayed here.

So she makes Jerry the move things around every weekend. Problem is they screw up the prices tags! Had a woman buy a $600.00 futon, under futon drawer and mattress set from me. I order what the tag said it was, problem was it was not the right tag! I will be giving the refund Thursday.

I'm Type 2. I take a pill, glyburide, which used to do the job when combined with lots of exercise, but now with a heart condition that's getting hard to do.
Ken, I too used to like Olive Garden, but it's OK that none are nearby because you're right, the menu is very pasta heavy. If all I can eat is salad, I'd might as well go to the grocery store.

A sunny but cold day here up north! Summer is officially ending in a couple of days and we have lost 5 hours of daylight already!
Mister B. - diabetes can sure take the fun out of eating. I am glad that this is one thing that has passed me by - so far! Not being able to eat pasta would hurt me a lot! Petra has a number of different spaghetti sauces in her repertoire which have made pasta into our favourite dish!
Ken - are you still vaping? I´ve heard of a number of people dying from lung issues caused vaping and that a ban is debated right now. Better to stop that before any harm is done.
Traction modelling is an interesting alternative for those space starved condo dwellers! I found this enjoyable video of an oldtimer and his O scale traction layout.

I honestly think the Number 1 train is my favorite in NYC. It goes from North Bronx through all the neat parts of Manhattan.
Apollo Theater, Lincoln Center, Times Square, Rockerfeller Center, Wall Street, all on the Number 1 line.

Interesting Henry. The green water a little further down south of you but still in the North is called Dog Days down here. It happens every year around the same time, late Summer, early Fall. Same green color water.... different name I guess. It looks like you captured it quite well in your modeling
So I went to Best Buy today and got this JBL log looking thing. A big wireless speaker. I didn't want to cut into my Mustang and install speakers and do all the old school stereo system stuff.
My original AM FM Phillips radio wasn't quite cutting it for me anymore. So now I'm blue tooth streaming. I guess this old dinosaur is joining the modern world little by little.
I hung a removable oak board across where the seat folds down in back and hung this thing on J hooks with zipping ties so it doesn't make any grinding sound when it swings back and forth
I cannot believe how this new modern sophisticated stereo stuff sounds and it's all wireless. How easy is this?.....and it all operates from my phone

Good evening all, had sun, clouds and rain today, thought I could get the pool down but then the drizzle showed up.
Just looking at those caddie pics that Ed and I posted and was thinking how if I was that guy I would much rather have a pickup even if I was the boss, it's a much more useful vehicle.
Ed, how is the Hudson running? The first one I got back has been perfect and has logged a fair bit of time just to make sure, I haven't got the second one back from its second trip back to Rapido, can't wait to lash those two up.
Put new weather stripping on all the exterior doors today as the temps are dropping.

I can't even 'hike' across the backyard (50') these days without being in pain. Dianne and I used to go for miles with loaded backpacks with barely a break. Now that I can afford to travel my back won't let me! Phooey on growing old!
I do have some good news from the medical profession, at least I hope it's good news. I told you a while ago that I needed new hip joints. In Ontario, when you get referred for a hip replacement consultation, the first person you see is a Physiotherapist who decides who is eligible to see the surgeon and who isn't. Her interpretation of my x-rays was that whoever suggested that I needed new hip joints was full of hooey (ryhmes with phooey!). She didn't exactly put it in those terms but she didn't see that my hips were anywhere near needing to be replaced. She did some flexibility checks and I had great range with no pain. She showed me my x-rays and there was still plenty of cartiledge (or whatever it is) between the bones. She also explained that the 'hip' pain that I had been experiencing was not indicative of bad hip joints. It wasn't occurring in the right place.
So, at least for now, I get to keep my hips!

Hey guys, posting late but at least I'm here.
Vaping fries the brain, heres my proof, my now ex friend Sydney started vaping without nicotine over the summer and now shes a full blown nutcase, more on that in a moment.
So finally had some friends my age, that was nice while it lasted, so Saturday we were going to hang out at the mall and go to main event (knock off Dave and busters) we were to meet at 430, they dont show up till 630! Their excuse was an accident on the interstate, glory of social media is you can snoop pretty easily, turns out they were hanging out before meeting me.
Well we go into the mall and the two girls in our group are leading us from store to store, not spending more than 5 minutes in each and not buying anything.
Then finally I see one of them stuffing items into her purse, yeah shoplifting, so I distance myself from them, we end up not going to main event and I go home.
Sunday I text the girls and ask them to never shoplift when I am with them again, they tell me that I shouldn't hang out with them anymore and to leave them alone, I say fine, I tell one of the older guys in our group that didnt go with us about it and he confronts them, same response, so me and him decide to at least try to get one of the other guys to not get involved with the shoplifting (he hasn't stole anything yet but has the girls do it for him) I tell him he needs to stop going along with it just because he likes one of the girls, he turns around tells the girls I said this.
The girls go to Sydney and get her involved, she starts running to everyone saying how horrible I am for saying that and I'm a gossip, well I thought that's it, no wrong, then the three girls start texting me telling me that I should come fight them and some other crazy stuff. So basically I am no longer friends with Sydney or the two other girls.
Now its important to note that I work with everyone that is involved in this luckily they're all in aquatics.
So I decide to take this to the aquatics director at my branch, he specifically asked me to be the distant early warning if some drama was brewing with the lifeguards, so I fill him in, he says stay low and avoid them which was my plan anyways.
Next day he comes asking about alcohol consumption over the weekend, now I don't drink and I had no idea about that, he says that the branch director (my direct superior) has been filled in on this, so I go speak with her about this, in addition to alcohol consumption (I'm guessing it was either on property and possibly on duty for it to be an issue) she also suspects them of doing drugs (I suspect weed) so I tell her **heres the plot twist** that I heard a rumor Sydney is being the middle man for the pot plug (a plug is a drug dealer) at the high school and was attempting to sell to the other guards. My boss asks if its THE Sydney I confirm this and she says I heard the same thing I'll have to investigate.
So that was my week.
More on Sydney, she is now vaping, probably on pot, shes trying to ruin one guys relationship, she is going to homecoming with two guys, and has an additional 3 guys on the line, needless to say I'm glad I'm not dating her.
Also she has no clue about cars and is not a model, both stories fell apart when she did.

I am in the early stages of a real tangible relationship.
So two girls came in the Y looking for jobs, I put the charm on them and sent them over to the hotels to apply there too, well one of them tracked me down on Instagram, she started dm'ing me, (basically texting) at first about the job applications then she asks...
Wait for it...
"Do you have a girlfriend"
So I reply no, commence to make small talk, she then offers her number, we talk first dates and decide on dinner and a movie, that was last night, gotta set the time and place now
But hey this one at least is honest not like some girls who expect a guy to get that they're interested by sending him smoke signals, in latin, in morse code, on a rainy night.
So I'm seeing where this is going to take me.
Other news, still no car, got a cheaper insurance quote, state farm is ripping us off, for all the cars we have now and a 2012 mustang is only 50 bucks more a month through progressive.
So I'm looking at a 2012 mustang now
I've been considering going to a stand up open mic, I have wanted to try comedy for a while and I have no shortage of story's to tell, just gotta make sure my delivery is good.

Look at the bright side! You have made some good decisions despite the fact that some of the consequences were negative. You are a smart guy!
My advice: Just keep doing what you are doing, and don't come on too heavy to the girl who asked about your relationship status. I'm sure that you have already figured that out.

Not much going on at this end. A number og houses in Denmark that we could picture living in have been sold in the meantime and are off the list. Not much choice left at the moment. The only good news is that the renovation of our friend´s apartment is on schedule and the sale will continue as planned.

Finally, since this is a diner, I'll share what was probably the most disgusting meal I had there. Squid ink soup. It's a delicacy. This was prepared by the uncle of our exchange student, and he spent the better part of the day making it. They were all very proud. The squid had the texture of a boiled hot dog and you had to be careful eating it. You had to place it back into your mouth before pulling it off your fork or spoon as it turns your teeth black when you eat it.
