If you expect the SP Spectrum to run better than the present model, I am sure it will run better. <br /> I purchased the new N&W J last year expected it to be great and it looks good, but runs only fair. It would have been acceptable ten years ago, but today so many good steam engines are available now at fairly low prices, and most run very well. <br /> <br />Look and run the model before you buy!!!!!!!!! If you handpick a model, you might find one that runs well.
