Good Afternoon!

No word from Jeff? I hope is OK and is just resting. Continuing [angel] for him!

I tried my hand at building a window today. I have to admit, that this was testing my patience quite a lot. 22 parts is not a big number, but these parts were really tiny, in fact too tiny for my big hands. The window is a sliding sash window, consisting of two parts, each consisting of a frame of 12 by 10 mm (5 parts) and glazing. The two "windows" were than glued together and a frame added (6 parts). After another fierce action with a file, I was able to insert the window in the window opening and add the frame around it. All of it took 5 hours. Now there are 7 more of these windows to make ... [+o(]

Viewed from a distance, the window looks quite OK, but any close-up shot reveals the cruel truth - the window is rather crude. I will make these 7 windows, one at a time, but for the buildings to come I will most likely bite the bullett and try to get my hand on Grandline window and door castings. Unfortunately, I can buy them only direct from Grandtline - without a CC a difficult undertaking, aside from the cash I don´t have.

Here are some pics of today´s job:

Hope to hear from Jeff soon!
