They buildings are a little crude, but I think I will improve along the way. The term scratchbuilding has a special meaning for me. I cannot afford any expensive imports of detail parts and accessories - like those windows and doors from Grandtline. I have to make everything myself, out of cheap and locally available materials. I am amazed how little you need - the buildinbgs I have made so far mainly consist of .8mm plywood or veneer, 2mm plywood, 4mm by 4mm basswood strips, Toilet paper forr roofing, if not shingles [:-,] - that´s model railroading like back in the 1930´s, when all those kits and R-T-R things were not available.</p> <p>It´s a train load full of fun (aside from my use of four letter words, when my fingers are glued together).</p>
