Good Morning!

A hot & humid day, with a chance of some thunderboomers later in the day. Yesterday´s thunderstorm passed a little south of us, all I could see during the night was the lightning, but no "booms". Lots of ra*n, though.

I was not happy ith the looks of the roof of the engine house. Somehow, it got too dark and looked more like a slate covered roof, but not a roof with cedar shingles. A wash with a heavily diluted white acrylic paint did not bring any improvement, nor did weathering the roof with white powder pigments. So I decidedm for a more radical cure and gave the roof a careful, but decisive scrub with a wire brush and coarse sandpaper. The result is astonishingly pleasing.

I may dare to cute those missing shingles today!

Jeff - keeping my fingers crossed for you to find a decent and affordable set of wheels!

The German team sent the French home in yesterday´s Soccer WC match. I am not much of a soccer fan, but that put a smile on my face. Don´t know why [:-,]

Have a great day!
