I am putting together a presentation on the WP Depots and am looking for any photos etc you may have... Rail fan pictures or photos from vacations and such.
A lot of those photos are in the attic just waiting to be discovered [:)]

Thanks for any help...

Good luck! I remember the late '50s and the "wobbly" had a nice looking depot on 2nd or 3rd street in Oakland, CA. close to Jack London Square. Probably got replaced by the Amtrack. Every one of us SP workers used to almost stand and salute the outbound Zephyr, with reverent awe for its beauty.

The Depot is still there, used as office space. It is on 3rd ans Washington. In the late 70s it was 2 weeks from being torn down. Oakland saved it as their landmark #1

There is some information on my web site.

Here are a few shots I have:

The Sacramento depot is still around as "The Old Spaghetti Factory" and the CTC building next to it is now a drug/alcohol counseling center and art studio. I have some modern shots but these are of various older vintages.

Steve...

Let me know next week as I will be in Marysvill to visit my LHS. Would shoot pics of Marysville and Oroville Depots. Want to load the camera anyhow as I need to take a few shots of my incompleat layout. I looked at your web site and your layout looks utterly fantistic.

I dont know if you ever get up here, but plan to have dinner at the Oroville Depot restaurant if you ever head up the canyon. They have a mulitude of wp pics and old depots pictures.

Gads I was there today...visiting my LHS...Now Im dirt poor again LOL. Steve I will be going back to Marysville in the middle of next week. I need to shoot a roll of my layout...such as it is

Get a chance email your address and I will send you the Pics.

Oroville Depot has a mulitude of pics about 1913 to early diesel WW 2. Mostley old steam, buildings, building the road, ect. There is a picture in every booth. Is worth your time to visit there and enjoy a good meal as its one of the better places to eat.

Take care and I will get pics to you next week...John
