Good Afternoon

I am just back from a sleigh ride to Rotenburg on my consultancy "job". I can´t remember ever seeing so much sn*w on a December 2nd! We got about 2" last night and it is still sn*wing like mad outside. The global warming must take place somewhere else!

Flo, a mug of dark roast and a slice of that apple pie for me, please.

Barry - I will keep you in my [angel] on December 10th!

Ken - if you don´t have a layout to w*rk on, and the only MRR activity you can do is to play with a track planning program, than there is no way avoiding to develop some dexterity [swg]. Yes, the track plan is drawn in RTS 8.0, with a heavy use of the "Draw" function and some touch ups using MSPaint to enhance the appearance. PM your e-mail (I have misplaced it) and I will send you the file to play with!

The hidden staging yard needs a clearance of about 4", plus an inch for the subroadbed above it. with a 2 % maximum grade (2.5 % will also do), you need 250" for the descent.. Looking "eastbound", the descent should start right after the switch leading to the mine, looking "westbound", it should start about at the middle of the big curve at the lower right. The scenic divider in the middle section perfectly disguises the different levels. The staging yard should in any case be level.

That´s all for the moment - CUL
