Good Morning Folks,

well, my final day at the GULAG. Driving to this place was sheer horror - it had started to sn*w again, turning the roads into a skating rink. I barely escaped having a bad accident - I am still trembling... [sigh]

Chloe, may I have a big breakfast with crisp bacon, eggs, toast, butter, jam and bucket of coffee? Thank you!

I will be heading home by mid-day. I do hope that the roads will be cleared by then.

Chris - I am close to making up my mind (which is actually easy to do, as I won´t be in a position to go out and buy things for quite some time). I am leaning towards changing scale and go for that Salt Lake Route layout. Maybe it is a cultural issue - here in Germany, we are more into running trains than into switching operation. I have to talk to Petra about that extra space requirement - Saturday seems to be a good opportunity, as it is her birthday and I saved up some money to buy a little present. Unfortunately, unlike Rob´s wife, she is not into trains, but is more than just tolerating my hobby.

Have a safe day, you all!
