What happened to the HO scale manufacturer "American GK". I just got an E60C model from this company, but i wonder why they didnĀ“t exist anymore? Were the bankrupcy, or bought by another company? Anyone here who knows something about?

I read somewhere that Watlhers took them over in the late 70's or early 80's

American GK has been gone for quite a while, sad to say.
They had a nice version of the E60 electric. Athearn chassis' was used. Very noisy unit but nothing that the
"tune up"
methods couldn't handle. I saw a used one for sale at a Suncoast Modelers Train Show two months ago. Guy was selling it fof $60.
