My screen name comes from the '71 Fiat convertible that I am (slowly) restoring. I use the name for just about everything that I need a log in for.

Aside to dragenrider - I very much enjoyed the Dragonrider series! It's been years since I read them but I believe I still have them packed away somewhere in the basement.

I haven't been a member that long. I'm sure that there are thousands of topics that are repeated, and in that short time, I've seen others have the same thing happen. Maybe some people are borrowing ideas from successful topics. If I am aware of an old topic that has info that is useful, I will post a link to the old material in the new topic.

Please forgive my ungraciousness.
It was a bad evening of work and just
wanted to vent. I really mean no harm.
I,too, have done this, posted a repeat
question and got serious answers back.
My apologies to the poster.

Why am I the EASTCOAST ??
It's where I was born, and it's what
I model, East Coast Railways,
all of 'em .

Well. Here is a secret. I custom paint my own railname and own MRR.
I find these engines and equipment and make into LEASE properties
for my railroad. The E C R has been VERY successful by doing this, my
only purchases have to do with the eastern coastlines due to the low
bridge clearances. Therefore I can NEVER run double stack or any
superliner on my MRR. To be truthful, I do not have rolling stock from
N S , there is something about that black horse that gives me the creeps.

Hey, EJE Man. When I lived in Chicago Hts I lived near Holbrook and SerenaJust across the street from the Golf course in Homewood. Also when I was a kid in 1960 I was railfanning at the EJ&E Waukegan roundhouse and they invited me up in one of those funky old steeplecab transfer engines. I live in GA now but I read where they keep on thinking about running commuter trains on the J as a way to connect with the other Metra lines. Interesting. Odd-d

I am Odd-d, pronounced "Oddie". I ended up as Odd-d when Oddie was taken. I chose that name because I was always a little odd...after we have to be rather odd to pursue THIS hobby. Also since my last name is Ottosen, pronounced "Oddis'n" the bigger kids hung that name on this little fat kid and I got used to it. Now it's the name I use to refer to myself in my own thoughts. My screen name is the one I created for another board.

Last September my wife and I took a two-week road-trip from Minnesota to Los Angeles (Disneyland) and Las Vegas. It took some serious conversation to convince my wife to try driving instead of flying, but in the end we both agreed it was the most enjoyable vacation we ever had. The scenery out west was absolutely spectacular!

That is the story behind 'Roadtrp'.

[X-)]I choose mine trainaccident, because being involved in law enforcement and the fire fields I thought it was appropriate as well as having a couple on my train plateform.

Because it's the first letter of my first name and my entire last name. Not too imaginative, I admit, but it describes me.

Mine is based on my initials "JJB' and my location "Mishawaka" but "jjbmishawaka" was just to long so i shortened it to "jjbmish".
