They are still active in the European market last time I heard but they are not really interested in the American market as far as I am aware.

Why do you ask?

Hi all,

The story will be out at the Nürnberg Fair in a few weeks, that's where everyone shows up with their new stuff.
Will be interesting to see how large LIMA's display is.

LIMA = RIVAROSSI so I think they do have an interest in the American Market
But over the last year or so the value of the american dollar vs the euro has changed $1 = 85 euro cents and that used to be the other way around. So you could get into some financial trouble out of that [2c]

The story over here is that Lima went out of business last year - according to a report in Model Rail magazine anyway. Their UK range was in trouble before then though, as (allegedly) they wanted to raise prices without any improvement in the quality of the models, which predictably didn't go down well with the importers (and Lima's UK outline models were truly awful - "pancake" motors driving only two axles on one truck of a Co-Co diesel loco is a good example!) Unfortunately, the loss of Lima has left several prototypes unavailable RTR. Remaining Lima stock is beginning to see price rises due to scarcity - glad I bought all the stuff I wanted just as they stopped importing!

While we're talking about Lima here, does anyone know when (or if) Lima stopped making their 2-rail O gauge trains?
