Lima

The story over here is that Lima went out of business last year - according to a report in Model Rail magazine anyway. Their UK range was in trouble before then though, as (allegedly) they wanted to raise prices without any improvement in the quality of the models, which predictably didn't go down well with the importers (and Lima's UK outline models were truly awful - "pancake" motors driving only two axles on one truck of a Co-Co diesel loco is a good example!) Unfortunately, the loss of Lima has left several prototypes unavailable RTR. Remaining Lima stock is beginning to see price rises due to scarcity - glad I bought all the stuff I wanted just as they stopped importing!
