I should mention...I was using a SPROG3.  I received an answer from the WiThrottle support team.  When using the SPROG, you must have the "SPROG Command station" selected in the JMRI preferences under the System Connection drop down field and have the radio option "programming on Main" selected in order to have more than one locomotive in a consist run as a consist.  this will cause your WiThrottle server in JMRI to restart once you make that change but then your loco's will run as a consist!  Yay!

Speed matching using WiThrottle and JMRI issue with consisting
Posted by HENRY VICENIK on Saturday, April 13, 2024 8:42 AM

Has anyone had success consisting with JMRI and WiThrottle?  Recently I installed JMRI & WiThrottle (full version) to speed consist my DCC locomotive fleet. I am having some trouble when two locomotives are “add”ed together in WiThrottle, and I throttle the speed up, only one of the two locomotives move on the track.  The second locomotive's sound is on but the engine itself does not move. What am I doing incorrect?  I have long addresses configured for both engines. If both engines are run individually, on their own long address, they both independently move when WiThrottle does not have them consisted together.  I am running JMRI version 5.6 and WiThrottle 3.8.3. Is should add too, I have a Sprog3 as the interface here connected to my PC running JMRI.  The locomotives are ScaleTrain locomotives.

Thank you for your help and guidance.
