My old 12volt laptop computer power supply wires attach to RG59 power wires that are too big to fit into the Atlas control board. I had to cut off 3 wire strands from each just to squeeze them into the Atlas PCB. I will take them out and remove another strand or 2 and cut the ends so no copper is showing. I used the RG59 power wires as I have 250 feet of RG59 cable left over from installing security cameras around the house 20 years ago. Thanks for the advice.
This is good to know, thank you. Those bare red/power and black/common wires going into the terminals would need some heat shrink or cut off some to make me feel better.
Since no one has any experience on this subject, I decided to test it myself. I purchased 3 Nano Sensors and they are working great with the Atlas Signal Control board. Below are pictures of the Nano Sensor, Nano Sensor controler, Atlas Signal Control board and the Atlas signal bridge. Note that the 12 volt power for the Nano Sensors and Atlas Signal Control boards must be from the same source.

I have recently purchased several Atlas Signal System 3 track 6 head signal bridges and Atlas Signal System Control Boards.
I want to use already built "optical/IR" sensors for train detection and Model Train Technology's Nano Sensor looks to be perfect: very thin just slides under the rails; works in all lighting conditions; adjustable sensitivity..... I contacted Model Train Technology and they have no information on using their sensors with Atlas Signal Control boards.
Has anyone any experience using the Model Train Technology's Nano Sensor with the Atlas Signal System Control Boards?
