DC Controller Blinking Overload

classic case of not clean wheels / wipers / track  ..get a rag and some liquid [even alchohol], and start cleaning ... everything ..

 

and yes it's safe, if it gets worse the controller overload light will stay on longer

Just spitballing, is the track in gauge on these curves?  I can imagine binding of the loco wheels causing the motor to max out.

Hello everyone, I'm hoping someone can help me troubleshoot an issue I'm having with my DC block layout. The issue I'm having is that my Tech 4 260 controller will blink overload for a fraction of second whenever trains are going around curves. In summary:

• Overload light will blink overload several times, a fraction of a second each time
• Happens when going around curves, but not all curves
• Occurs with multiple locomotives, not just one
• Occurs with both controllers, not just one
• Does not happen when only pulling a couple cars or less
• Locomotives will keep running while this happens, but you can see lights flicker or hear motor peaking at the same time overload light flickers on and off

Any insight would be greatly appreciated as I'm stumped! Is it safe to keep running trains this way?
