Did you let JMRI identify the decoder?

Are you looking at the right tab for the volume settings?

Are you using the most recent version of JMRI (4.26), as it will have the most up-to-date definitions?

The next update to JMRI will probably happen this summer, but you can run the test version (4.99), provided Java 11 is installed. The details are on the JMRI website.

Hi Folks,

I upgraded JMRI to version 4.26 and that solved the problem. Second issue was user (my) error in trying to set the address. All good now!

Thanks for the replies and help!

Now I'm trying to program with it JMRI decoder and change the whistle and address. However, when I list the CVs and their values in JMRI, I don't see CVs 120-121 listed? The list jumps from 119-122 I want to set the whistle at CV 120, so very confused why it's not listing?

Well, it only shows the CVs it believes are available for the decoder either entered or indentified, so it sounds like there is an error in JMRI's deocder definition for that decoder.  I'm not sure what if anything you can do to fix it in the comprehensive programming screen, but from the main screen if you select Action->Single CV Programmer you can program any individual CV that you want.

Also if I try to set address as other than 3, it does not respond to new address. Only 3 working at the moment.

When you try to change the address, does it continue to respond to '3', or do you have to reset it to get it to respond to '3'?  What address are you trying to program? Primary (often called 4-digit or long) or extended (2-digit or short)?  What DCC system?  Are you trying to program in service mode ("program track") or operations mode?

I have that decoder  connected to a Decoder Buddy mini and a TCS Current Keeper KA2 1456

I can address it via JMRI panel pro at address 3 and play bell, whistle, motor, lights, etc .without any issues

On Basic sheet, manufacturer ID shows as 141, version is 71

Confused by what I am seeing here, any obvious things I might have missed
Thanks
