JMRI - Loco Throttle Controls Missing

I just uninstalled the old version of Engine Driver and installed current version 2.30.133

That's it for me tonight. I'll see if this makes any difference tomorrow.

FWIW, I did a "factory reset" using JMRI.

After doing that, at least the Bell & Whistle functions showed again.

But then I put it back on the programming track, reset the Address to what I wanted, and changed the Whistle & Bell settings back to where I originally changed them. Everything except Forward/Stop/Reverse and Throttle are gone again.

I'll rephrase, what phone App are you using?

The cell phones I'm using for WiFi throttles are just some cheapo from WalMart.

Both do the same thing - just on the two Loco's mentioned. Other Locos show up with all control functions just as they always have. Therefore, I don't think it's the cell phone(s).

Sounds like a problem with your throttle and not JMRI. What phone throttle are you using?

Recently I reprogrammed a couple Loco for things like sound loudness settings. I also did a full Read and Save on the decoders. One of these is a brand new Loco, the other I’ve had a few years.

 

When using a cell phone throttle, JMRI only shows throttle speed. All other functions are not shown on the display.

 

It looks as if JMRI Decoder Pro is now seeing these Locos as basic decoders with no sound or lighting controls.

 

What’s wrong and how do I get the settings back?
