Joe, yes, you are correct.  I would need version 9 firmware.  My version is 8 and does not come with the different things you can do with the bell.  Too bad.  I think the only way to correct this is to replace the old decoder with a newer one, maybe from Soundtraxx.  Thanks for the information.

I don't think it's possible unless you have version 9 firmware. Pages 134-137 of their manual talks about the bell.      Joe

QSI CV on Athearn Gas Turbine

Is anyone familiar with the QSI decoder for the Athearn Gas Turbine?  I'm trying to figure out how to slow the bell rate using JMRI.  I cannot find any information on the QSI decoder info that allows you to adjust the bell rate.  It rings way too fast for what I think it should for the prototype.  Is there a standard CV that will allow you to do this?
