Hello everyone,
This is my first post and i'm sure not my last!! I recently picked up a Athearn Genesis 21 pin for LEDs motherboard planning on installing it into my Genesis Norfolk Southern GP40-2 to replace the motherboard. The engine came installed with a motherboard that has the wrong resistors leading to very dim headlight and ditchlights both front and rear. Upon looking at the replacement motherboard it also has the 203 resistors on it so that idea is out and a Nixtrains decoder buddy is my next attempt for better lights. Now ive got this motherboard sitting here and dont wanna see it go to waste. If i were to install the Genesis 21 pin for LEDs into a locomotive without LEDs would i end up doing damage to the incadesent bulbs that the locomotive has? I am a plug and play kinda guy following a accident 2 years that left me with extreme difficulty doing soldering.
