Hello all. 6 years ago, as stated in a previous posting back than, I built a 8 track staging yard under the layout. I used a Team Digital BlocD8 for occupancy detection to light panel LED's and have been extremely pleased with that decision. Now it's time to segment each of the 8 tracks into two blocks each to store more trains. I have been searching to buy another BlocD8 but can't find any available from any vendor and the Team Digital web site seems to indicate they're out of business ( every product listed says out of stock). So, anyone know of where I might be able to order one? And failing that, I would appreciate any suggestions on an alternative device. I have been checking out alternatives but I always appreciate input from you all. Of course, I can use multiples of boards of any suggested device that don't come as a 8 block devise. Thnxto all.
I believe the BlocD8 has been discontinued, but I don't know its functional replacement.
I would call them at (765) 455-5883 rather than relying on their clunky contact form. I would be prepared to expect some delay in a callback during the pandemic.
Well, I have a solution. I was able to find four Team Digital DBD22's From Litchfield Station. Each DBD22 has two block dectector circuits. I bit more "messy" but it can work just like a BlocD8, just needs to be "built up".
