My whole railroad is punched on 66 blocks using scrap switch tails from when we installed a new NEC 2000 back in 1998.
As we converted all the distribution to 110 blocks I dragged all the 66 blocks, bridging clips etc. home that I could find.
I always keep some rolls of 4-conductor phone wire around. I like it for turnout machine wiring, and it work fine for my DCC control bus around the perimeter of the layout.
This phone wire is cheaper than buying either 2 or 3 conductor cable. I always bought it at Home Depot, but I'm afraid the disappearance of land lines will soon make this more of a specialty product.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
I will end up having a ton of 10-25 ft runs.
Good for feeders in N scale and smaller, too.

I keep single pair and three pair in stock on 1000’ spools for lighting and low current accessories on my layout. I also use TELCO D Rings to run the wire around the parameter of my layout.I don’t use 66 or 110 Blocks, to big.Mel My Model Railroad http://melvineperry.blogspot.com/ Bakersfield, California I'm beginning to realize that aging is not for wimps.
great for wiring up switch machines and other accessories.

Is there any real use for telco wire, the type used in phone rooms on 66 blocks on layouts? I am ripping out a bunch as we remove and old PBX system at work.
