Thanks guys for your responses. The lights are the stock Atlas ones. I honestly think they are bulbs not LEDs but I'm not 100%. They definitely don't have resistors on them just the straight black and red wires coming from them.

If you just re-installed the factory LEDs as they were wired, you probably have too much resistance on them. The ESU Direct board already has a 2000 ohm resistor on it to control LEDs directly. Atlas usually solders a resistor right directly to the LED itself. The combined resistance is probably too much to allow the LED to light.
Check your LED carefully. The resistor will be in the black heat shrink attached right at the LED.

You picked a good title, the right forum, but we need more information.
Did you install LED's? If so, did you install resistors and what size?
LED's have a polarity. If you got that backwards, they won't light.
I always test my LED's first. Haven't found a bad one, but that is another reason for no light.

Hi all. I have an older Atlas Master GP38 (GM&O) that I have intsalled a Loksound Direct decoder in. The locomotive runs fine, but I can not get the front or rear lights to work. Any ideas?
