How to connect a 5v logic analyzer 15V rails?

Using DCC++, I can read the signal before it gets to the motor control board, but I was wondering what the simplest way would be to reduce the voltage from 15 to 5 to not burn out the analyzer. Some methods would mess with the signal and I'm not sure of the internal resistance of the device. Would a simple 2 resistor voltage divider work? If so, I would have to know the resistance of the analyzer or could I assume a value in megohms? What value resistors to use? I know the ratio of the resitors, but not whether they shoult be in kohms or megohms
