I had posted a question a few days ago re: having trouble getting my connection from computer to PR3 set up. Someone suggested asking at the JMRI users forum. Did that and suggestion was to update firmware on my PR3. Did that with hepl from a Digitrax tech. At this point, I feel I have a solid connection between my new laptop (Windows 10), PR3 and isolated program track. I now have a few locos set up in the roster. I've made some simple function mapping changes to headlights and these changes have saved and function buttons work based on the changes. New problem, I can't go back to a loco on the roster and get the programming pane to open after highlighting the roster entry and tapping program button at lower right on All Entries screen.
SOO, I just want to "bump" your post back to the top, so it can be seen. I just use JMRI very little with Decoder Pro. I do most on my throttle (DT400), so I'll let those that know what going on, to answer your questions.
Mike.

Is the PR3 listed as a standalone programmer? Click the edit button ,click preferences. System connection should be LocoNet PR3. Command station type: PR3 standalone programmer. If not changa and save. Hope this helps. Joe

Thanks for responding. Also sent this question to the JMRI user group, yesterday, but so far, no response from anyone??
If you double-click on the roster entry, does it open up?
Yes, I had tried double clicking on the roster entry as well as the Programmer button.
One new twist...After clicking the Programmer button the last time, I just left things alone and came back, maybe 15 min. later, to find an error message that said "No roster entry found" But remember, I had been successful in making changes (headlight funtion buttons) on one of the roster entries. I did verify that the changes worked.
