Wiring for DCC
Posted by rrebell on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 5:04 PM

Will soon be laying track with non-dcc freindly turnouts. I plan on putting insulators on both frog end. This is a loop with a few sidings and some run arounds. Works great on DC and was making sure I wasn't missing anything. Will be back when I get to the more complicated areas.

Remember, it's not a insulated or solid frog that makes a turnout DCC friendly or not. It's the point rails and stock rails. If the two point rails are isolated from one another, the turnout is DCC friendly. If the open point is either dead, or the same polarity as the adjacent stock rail, it's DCC friendly, regardless if it is power routing or the frog style.
