Will the system also be running a layout? How big? How many engines?
A booster will provide more power, but once again, if you are just running a single engine at a time, you really don't need that much power.

sure .. just split the output of the MRC, one part to the 'normal' tracks, the other part to the booster, then the S and O tracks ...
i -assume- you will only have one loco in total on the tracks at any time ..
I am building a DCC test track for use by our club at train shows to check patron’s purchases. The track has a single track for each of 6 scales Z through O scale. I am using a MRS Prodigy Express 2 to power the smaller scales, Z through HO, but I would like to use an 8amp booster to power the S and O scale tracks, as these tend to draw more current. I will be using the Prod Express as the control, but since each track in powered separately, I am wondering if this is possible.
