If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.
either one will work, but to keep things consistent, I wire into the positive lead, the longer lead on the LED, going to the positive or blue wire ..
Either one is fine, Rich. However, I usually solder it to the common (+)/anode to be consistent from locomotive to locomotive.

Time...It marches on...without ever turning around to see if anyone is even keeping in step.
The resistor can be on either side of the LED:

does the resistor for an LED get wired to the positive or negative lead on the LED?
