Never Mind….
After thinking about it not sure if the PR3 was beeping or the DB150 was beeping. They are up high and close together, either way one of them was beeping.
I remembered last year I sent my DB150 in for not responding to anything. Digitrax told me that a DB150 was a Command Station and all they did was reset it and that cost me a few $ but it worked. Told me I could reset it but never gave any specific instructions. Well with that thought popping back in my head I explored JMRI for a solution. Under LocoNet is Configure Command Station. Opened that and there are over 40 settings.  Changed a setting that looked like a likely suspect:
Item 41 - Diagnostic Click When LocNet Command Received. Change from a C to a T.
Well that did the trick. I also noticed when it was acting up most of the engine lights would be in reverse configuration. I guess the DB 150 needed a rest….. Now I must find that time out or keep alive setting or whatever they call it and stop it from going to sleep after X minutes. I vaguely remember some software called LocoNet-Checker that fixed that last time that Perceli (Railroad Automation) helped me out with.

Hope this helps someone out someday.

PR3 Beeps
Posted by blue68camaro on Saturday, May 11, 2019 3:34 PM

This just started for no apparent reason. My PR3 beeps whenever I select any function, throttle, power, using JMRI. The red-light flashes but it has always done that, heck my DB64's do that but never beeped. I have tried other software, so it is not JMRI. I have rebooted PC, restarted PR3 and DB150

Setup is: PR3 connected to PC via USB - PR3 connected to DB150 via loco net cable - PR3 and DB150 powered by PS615.

Lights on PR3 are winking which indicates terminated, normal operation.

Trains operate normally. Now I don’t have any controllers, just a PC so the fix will have to be most likely through JMRI.

Digitrax doesn’t open till Monday so can’t contact them, so I figured maybe someone ran into this before.

Any suggestions?
