Wiring Brass Locomotives for DCC and sound?
Posted by CMStPnP on Sunday, December 16, 2018 2:35 PM

OK, so on youtube I came across an HO Scale how-to video in the past that advertised a private firm that will wire up Brass Locomotives with sound and DCC.   I only have one so far but it cost $$$$ (streamlined Milwaukee Road Hiawatha steam loco in Hiawatha paint)  and I really do not want to screw it up or the paint job.   So can anyone recommend a firm from past experience that does good work here?    I know that they exist, I just did not write down the firm name and contact info when I saw it on youtube.

I have used Engine House Services of Green Bay WI. Very satisfied with results. They have never scratched any paint or finish and have a fairly good turnaround time. This last week I picked a Bachmann On30 Climax that took only 6 weeks or so to do. They also have done MMI On30 K-28's for me. They hired an extra tech a while ago. I am sure there are other places that do the same work but EHS is the only one I have any experience with. No relation to them, just a satisfied customer.
