Anyone have manual for P2K SW9?
Posted by IDRick on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 9:37 PM

Does anyone have a copy of P2K SW9 manual?  If so, can you send me a link or an electronic copy? I would like to review the diagrams and make a decision on parts needed to convert from DC to Rail Pro digital control.

Has anyone done this conversion (Rail pro with 9 pin connector or other system)?  Any tips?

Thanks

This says SW-8 / 900 / 600 hope that's the one you're looking for.

Hope that helps —

Thanks Ed!  I believe you are correct that the SW8 and SW9 were electrically similar.  Both have a circuit board and the drop in decoder from NCE is the same one for both switchers.  Also, the circuit board appears to be same shape as the NCE drop-in decoder.  Based on this drawing, it looks like I need to remove the circuit board and directly solder the appropriate wires to the Rail Pro decoder.  That's my guess...  Smile

Thanks again!

Send an email to Walthers.   They should be able to send you a PDF via return email.  They've done that for me.

Yes, this is a hardwire installation for anything beyond DC. There's very little room to work with. Disconnect the wires and discard (well, put in the spare parts box - none of us ever actually throws anything out, right?) the board.
