The "train has left the station" (yuk-yuk) on that, as there are already responses back there.

So I'll just say that I made my response there.

Brass engine stopped running
Posted by robert sylvester on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 10:01 AM

I posted this on the General Discussion Forum, may have been the wrong place. I have an aging OMI brass engine that stopped running even though the two wires were never changed. I disconected the wire connected to the floor of the tender and touched it everywhere without results, but when I touched the track on the left side  the wheels on the left side of the locomotive where the insulated wheels are located it works. It was suggested I clean out the wheel bearings and remove any oil and grease then reconnect the left wire to the floor of the tender where it was originally.I even reversed the the wheels on the tender, placing the insulated wheels on the right but that did not work.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Another suggestion was to solder the left wire the the locomotive body on the inside.
