You would be better off joining the JMRI users forum and asking your JMRI related questions there where they can answered by experienced users and JMRI developers.

Welcome Welcome to the forum.

I'll give your post a bump so others who may know, can answer.  I do not use JMRI.  I did start a recent thread that featured an introductory video on youtube.  I found out that a lot of people really don't like parts of the JMRI interface.

JMRI gets fatal JAVA error building a train
Posted by Fred at STL on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 8:41 PM

I am using the current version of JMRI and I can use most options but after using for three years I can not build trains.  I reset a train and click the build button and get the following JAVA error:

java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: com.fasterxml.jackson.datafind.node.ObjectNode.set(Ljava/lang/String;Lcom/Fasterxml/jackson/databind/JsonNode;)Lcom/fasterxml/jackson/databind/JsonNode;

Any ideas on how to get past this error?

thanks

Fred
