3rd rail

Ok, I am "Old-School", but I have been getting frustrated with the different DCC systems on the various locomotives that I buy.  I can't get them matched to run in multiple, and it seems impossible to get a lashup to operate properly. Where is the NMRA on all this? They wrote standards for rail, couplers, flanges, etc... but it seems like DCC is a new frontier. There is NO standard.  What gives?

Welcome.

There are standards.

There is also a learning curve with DCC. For some, a steep learning curve.

Also, wrong forum as was said. Go to below forum.

Please take time to read though all the forums to find out the proper forum.

Notice, very little activity in this forum. Many never notice this.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.

You should post this in Model Railroader Forum.   There is a section there specifically for electronics and DCC.
