To complete the reset, did you cycle the track power? The headlight should flash sixteen times as I recall. The the loco should run on 3.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.

Sometimes, there is more than one way to interpret a post. Virtually all newbies give us too little information. When I was a med student, they taught me: You don't have to make the diagnosis, you just have to write enough of the history, physical, and labs so that somebody who knows what's going on can figure it out.
Whatever you have reset, sometimes you need to cycle the power on and off to get it to reset.

A little more detail?
You reset what, the decoder, or the command station?
If you reset the command station, did you flip the toggle back to RUN after having it in OPS to do the reset?
If you reset the loco - the address should now be 3.
