I've had good luck with e-mailing Walthers to get assembly diagrams. They send back a PDF, no charge.

sswcharlie Hi Have some locos to put back to standard dc. Where are wiring diagrams for the F3A and other Proto1000 models ? Using the original pcb for dc. Mainly for the lights I need. On the pcb what does FL1, FL2, WH1, and P5 to P8. Are some of these used in DCC? Thanks Charles Harris

Here's a picture of the board:
FL1 and FL2 are for the light. WH1 is the black wire from the front truck. The red wire from the front truck is longer and goes on the same tab the back as the rear red wire (right side). The black wire from the rear truck goes to the other tab.
The pads are for soldering dcc decoder leads to, after cutting the board on the "X"s.

had to look at a couple of my 1000's to find board you need info on but the fl1 is white wire to light ,wh1 is black wire from front truck fl2 is red wire to light , p5 no connection , black wire from rear truck ends up on p4 through trace on bottom side of board red wire from both trucks is ends up on p8 trhough a trace on top side of board.
