rrinkerUnless the DB150 is visible and you cna see the track status LED.
That's what I asked Ken in my first reply.
gmpullmanWhat do the LEDs on front of the DB150 tell you?
Well, I guess he will be checking them more often, now.
Regards, Ed
Pays to hook up just ONE UP5 to track power, even if it has to be before any block detectors. Unless the DB150 is visible and you cna see the track status LED. Either way - that gives you some easily visible indication that the power is on, no need to look for the little dot on the DT400.

cudaken Dave asked me "did you hit the rail power button?"
Been there!
You need super-magnifying glasses to see the little flea tick of a "dot" to tell you track power is on.
If I don't hit the "power > +" button just right the little tic icon blinks. Sometimes it takes two or three times to get the track power to come on fully.
My Digitrax boosters and command station are going on fifteen-years old and never had one bit of trouble with them. Usually "operator error"
Glad you're back to "Haulin' the Tonnage" Ken.
Went to K-10 Model Trains and used one of there DT 400 and the DB 150 reset just the way it should! They happen to have a used DB 150 for $89.95 so I bought it to be on the safe side!
Started to freak out when I got home! Neither one would work! Called Dave at K-10! Hum, I installed the Empire Bulider 7 years ago and it had never been removed befor today! Dave asked me "did you hit the rail power button?"
Thanks for all the answers folks!

gmpullman cudaken Main right now is my DT 400 is a POS. Switch function not working right. Sticking rubbery buttons are sometimes a problem on DT throttles. Be sure one isn't stuck.

Yup, sticky buttons on a DTxxx is a known problem. It's very often caused by the decal on the front of the case being offset just enough to impede the free movement of one or more buttons. The quick and simple fix is to disassemble the throttle and twirl the tip of a #11 Exacto in the holes to clean up any decal overlap.
And if that's not the problem, send it back to Digitrax. For a flat fee of $25 which includes return shipping they'll fix it and send it back to you.

rrinkerYou can do it via JMRI as well - don't you have your system connected?
You can also use the JMRI "Monitor Loconet" pane and see every command sent to Loconet from your throttle. Also use the Monitor Slots pane you can clear all slots. There were a few times when I needed to clear slots (this also removes simple consists) in oredr to get my "Slot = Max" warning to disappear.

cudakenI have track power, when I turn on the DP 150 a few head lights come on. But I cannot give any of the engines any commands.
What are you using for a power supply? Are you sure it is still putting out "good electrons"?

Good Luck, Ed
You can do it via JMRI as well - don't you have your system connected? Somewhere in there is an option to reset the command station.
Randy, thanks for the answer. Video shows that when opeing SW it shows SW 001 = t then you set it to 39 and hit clock and shut down the power.
Main right now is my DT 400 is a POS. Switch function not working right. Heck even new it did not work right! I sen it back to Digitrax 2 times and the buttons never worked well!
Going to try a reset at K-10 Model Trains Thursday and hop to get it going again!
Thank You again Randy, Ken
After you hit SWTCH on the throttle you have to dial in the number of the switch you want. You want switch 039 to reset the DB150. The throttle remembers the last one you keyed in so at some point you must have used 99. Doesn;t matter what the video shows, the one to reset is definitely 039.
Well it seems my DB 150 has given up its ghost. I have track power, when I turn on the DP 150 a few head lights come on. But I cannot give any of the engines any commands. I mainly use the JMRI decoder pro to run the engines and it all so is not working. I have unhooked the DT 400 throttle hopping that was the problem and it was not.
Just watched the Digitrax video on how to reset the DB 150. With the Mode in OP and I press the switch key my DT 400 shows Sw 099 = c. Video shows it should be Sw 001 = t. Any clue to what is going on?
Next question, if the DB 150 is turly DOA, what command station replaces it? I need 5 amps, I run a lot of sound engines. I all so need as cheap as I can get, low income now.
I will need the PR 3 and DT 400 to work with the new command station.
I can sort of afford the Zephyr but not with only 3 amps. If only the command part of my DB 150 is dead, could I use it has a booster only?
Thanks for the coming answers.
