Hi all, I have a new Bachmann 50 ton 2 truck DCC Sound ready climax which i installed the sound module.

There is no choice for a 2 truck climax either in the Bachmann or Tsunami lists on decoder pro.  I picked the 3 truck climax in the Bachmann Tsunami list.  Is that correct?

Not too sure has to what you might be looking for?

There is a factory list of CV’s for the 50 ton 2 truck Climax listed under factory installed units on the SoundTraxx web site.

Hard to find.

Take a look at the soundtraxx pages .

With JMRI when you “Add new loco” you need to either select a decoder or let the program find the decoder.  If i let it find the decoder it comes up with a diesel decoder.  whe I go to manally select from the list of decoder types there is no choice for a Bachmann 2 truck Climax.

I selected the 3 truck Climax (Bachmann-Tsunami).  Is that the correct selection? For this locomotive?

Ask on the JMRI Yahoo list.  The folks who write the decoder definitions hang out there.  If the definition you need doesn't exist, they can tell you which one might be the best one to use (or they might even write the new one.)

I see no reason why a 2-truck and a 3-truck Climax wouldn't sound exactly the same.

You should use the 3-truck sound.

Thanks Ed but my question was more about making sure I have the correct decoder selected in JMRI so that I have the correct features and programming options. Not so much if the sound was correct.
