Has anyone installed a Walthers Advanced Control Module onto the Cornerstone turntable?
Yeah I looked at that. Read the full manual, and I'm still trying to figure out a useful purpose.

The ACM has a glitch in it and all are being recalled. I got that from a tech at Walther's. I sent mine in and he said they had updated it and it's been shipped back. I haven't recieved it yet.

Main use would be to make your own custom control panel instead of using the goofy control box that comes with the turntable. ANd at the same time, doign stuff liek automatically cutting power to all stall tracks not currently lined up. So you cna do things liek have a fascia diagram with a pushbutton on each stall track. Push a button, the table rotates to line up that stall track, and turns the power on so you can drive the loco out. All other tracks stay off, so if you pick the wrong address, you don't send a loco into the pit.
Or any number of things.

Interesting as this is at least the third thread on the ACM, and the first one referenced a fairly well known modeler who implemented it and had it working fine. The OP of that thread just had the wrong relay module, or didn't know how to power it, somethign like that.
I wonder if there might be several different runs of the board? Or if not all functions are affected.
Got my ACM board back today from Walters tech. Works perfect for the very first time. I have a Relay 8 connected to it and when you send it to a stall, it immediately activates that relay and drops off the one that it had previously been activating.
My boards require the abscence of power to pull a relay in, so all of the pins are at 5v. except the one corresponding to the stall selected.
The board is marked "Rev. 2"
I have an ACM installed and working with JMRI. There is a complete writeup as a PDF with instructions, JMRI scripts, and pictures at

I am the author of a PDF on using the Advanced Control Module. I offer it only as an aid to anyone using the ACM to control a Walthers turntable and having problems with: DCC for the ACM, power to roundhouse tracks, or JMRI. When I started the project I found I was as lost as many people that have posted about the ACM in the past. I wish I had had this. Regarding JMRI, the support for the ACM is not there and I provide 2 different JMRI scripts to control the ACM.
