Much much faster then reading all sheets with Decoder Pro.

Excellent method, Jack!

Many times I will make some modifications using the Lokprogrammer in the shop and later want to make a few minor tweaks using decoder Pro at the layout and, as you said, it can take a lot of time to read all CVs in Decoder Pro.

Your method will save me a great deal of manual typing Yes

Thanks! Ed

This what I do. In the ESU Lok Programmer program Wizard on startup, choose the first option "Modify settings of an ESU decoder". All CV will be read within a few seconds. When done go to the main menu on top of the screen and choose option "Tools" and "Export CV list" this will save all CV in a directory and a file of your choice.

Now open Decoder Pro "New Loco" then "Read type from decoder".

Next clik on the "Comprehensive Programmer" button.

Complete the sheet "Roster Entry".

When done leave the "Roster Entry" open and go to the main menu on top of the screen and use "File" "Import" "Lok Programmer CV list file".

Select the file you just created within the LokProgrammer program.

At the bottom of the Decoder Pro screen the following message will appear "Importing CV". When the message close after a while your done.

Much much faster then reading all sheets with Decoder Pro.

JMRI + ESU LokProgrammer?

I got a ESU LokProgrammer (#53452) to help read those LokSound decoders faster.

Does the LokProgrammer interface with JMRI Decoder Pro? In other words, if I do an initial new loco entry in JMRI, the first thing I do is "read all sheets" so I know what I'm dealing with. This takes a very long time for JMRI on LokSound decoders.

Any to to use JMRI & LokProgrammer together?
