Wiring a Peco PL-35
Posted by FRRYKid on Monday, January 29, 2018 7:50 PM

Got yet another one for my Forum friends: As some of you may remember, I am wiring up a 3-way Peco Turnout and I will be using Atlas Control boxes. After suggestions, I got a Peco PL-35 CD unit. In examing the wiring diagram that is provided with the unit,  I have become completely confused. I get how to make the connections from the pack to the input and inserting the output wires. However, after that point I am completely confused on how to wire up the system with the Atlas boxes. If I had to guess, the output wires would just go into the inputs on the Atlas boxes, but I'm not sure.

As usual, any assistance that can be provided would be most welcomed.

Just pretend the outputs of the CDU are the AC outputs of a power pack. It all wires the same. Wiring an Atlas control box to an Atlas switch motor is the same as wiring a Peco switch box to a Peco machine, or an Atlas box to a Peco machine. Inputs on the side, center top is the common to both coils, and the other ones go to the free wires. The common on a Peco motor are the two wires closes to the center, they get connected together.
