Thank you, Randy.  I'll try not to let the magic smoke out of it.

It's likely neither of the two shown, those are newer QSI boards. The factory equipped locos with QSI's used Quantum boards, not Revolution. What you get on Marcus' site is information on how to figure out where you need to connect a keep alive, in addition to the examples shown. There should be a location on the board with 4 diodes, where 2 connections go to the track power inputs, and two others go deeper into the board. That's how you cna find the correct connection points. In some case, the blue function wire is the + side.

Thank you VERY much, Rich.

Have you any idea how to determine the revision of my board?

Cheers,

Glenn

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.

QSI sound/DCC equipped P2K SW8/900 where to connect Keep-Alive

Hi all.

I've been in touch with both TCS and Walthers regarding the connection of a Keep-Alive KA4.  Can anyone advise on where to connect the 2 wires to the board?  According to TCS a BLUE wire hooks to the Positive (+) Common and a BLACK/WHITE wire goes to the Negative(-) ground.  How may I identify these points on the board?

Thank you in advance,

Glenn
