Hello All.
I am very new to DCC , hardly used DCC in simple fashion provided by Brodway limited which runs fime on DCC or DC layout.
Recently I have bought Roco 63052 train , its with Loksound DCC with sound.
I tried to put the train on my Analog DC layout and provided power to tracks , it does not respond to it. Then I tried to power up the inside DC motor using power pack which is running fine so no issues with that. Even lighting works fine.
Can someone help me, how to make it work on Analog DC layout ? is it require command controller ?
Please tell me you disconnected the decoder before applying power right to the motor terminals. If you did not, then you have damaged the motor drive on the decoder.
Loksound decoders should run on DC, but it may have been configured to disable DC. You'd need a DCC system to change that.

Randy...thanks for your quick reply.
Initialy when I tried to start the loco its been tested on tracks even that time there was not movement, later I tried to check motor running status , but that time I have not disconnected DCC decoder.
One more things , there is a note with loco stating DCC Address : 423 , I feel what you say, it might have set to not run in DC mode.
You said to change from DCC to DC , what type of DCC system I need to buy ?
Thanks
That's certainly a loaded question. There are many brands, they all work fine. I happen to use Digitrax. Others will chime in and say get an NCE PowerCab. They're all good, the basic systems are all easy to use.

If you ever see a Bachmann EZ Commnad DCC system on sale on ebay, it cannot change CV's. Forget it.
My first DCC system was an MRC 2K. It does a little less then the Bachmann system.
I changed to the NCE Power Cab some years ago. I can run at least three sound locos.
