How long for Digitrax repairs?

Edit:  Digitrax repairs is a team of 1.  Sometimes it takes them a little while to get to things.  Big Smile

I sent a decoder back to NCE and it was at least 1 month, maybe even 6 weeks.

A six to ten week turn-around should be the norm these days, and it pretty much applies to anything you return for servicing or repairs/replacement.  Replacements should be, and often are, faster, but repairs have crept up over the past eight years.

Yeah,

I guess I just got lucky last time with a 1 week turn around. For 2 $20 decoders, it might have been a better option just to buy new ones... :)

Speaking of buyig decoders: Anyone know what the most inexpensive decoders with more than 2 lighting function are (non sound)?

Thx.

Probably still NCE, the D13J at Modeltrainstuff is $140 for a 10 pack, $14 each. Has 4 light functions

Thanks Randy.

Only problem is, I don't think we have 10 locomotives, total! lol.

They're only a little more than that in smaller quantities - you can buy one, or a 4 pack as well as the 10 pack.

Our store sent a throttle in for repair. From the time it left the store to the time it got back (we're in Canada if that makes a difference) was just over three months.

Mark.

A couple years ago I had to send a DT400 back to Florida for a vacation due to the capcitor plague

At that time their advertised turnaound time was 30 working days.  They received it on September 3rd and notified me on October 13th that they had shipped it back out.  By my count that works out to 28 business days.

The nice thing is that's the only time in my 15 years or so as a Digitrax user that I've ever had to send anything in for repair.
